Candid portrait of a woman walking across Grand Central Station in New York City, 2019. There is something about the quickened pace of this young woman that reminds me of adult life just starting and dreams mixed in with fear and hope and the creating of life on your own. Love lies ahead. So does travail. And failures and accomplishments. I like her fearless walk. And I am reminded of photographs of women in my clan in old family albums walking the streets of Bogota, Colombia, in the 1940's always only in the company of a man. Can't wait to see what woman looks like in the street of the future.
