Candid photography portraits of the individual taken near 57th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City. The portraits are then [non-exclusively] layered with still-life photography fragments of architecture, wall surfaces, window displays, street features and objects, street graffiti, engineering construction notes, and U.S. flags photographed in the same location.
With these early sketches, I was searching for a visual language reflective of a state of consciousness. The completion of the series has been placed on hold because these early sketches were mostly driven by aesthetic preoccupations.
I have developed a proprietary post-production protocol that will allow me to print these works at 7' to 9' feet on the long side while retaining sharp, close-up detail. Series will be available in a single size and in an edition of 3 + 1AP
(AP is not for sale).
Please note, works titled Asure, #3 Untitled, and Oitan are complete, while the remainder artworks are first- draft sketches.
Also, artwork titled Asure will not be available for purchasing.
